The official 2018 nfl draft thread

Too much rb depth in this draft.... do not take one in rd1.

I don't want Guise. He's talented....but he runs small. During the season we all piss and moan we need a big back.....Guise ain't it. He's more explosive than AA....certainly....but he isn't even trying to get "tough yards".

Good feet. Good vision. Good player. Not a big back.

Your assessment is exact opposite of why I'd rather not draft him. I think he runs with reckless abandon, and does not have the body type to do that week in and week out.

Guice is listed at 212lbs and will probably be bigger coming into the NFL. He's a violent runner and has been compared to Marshawn Lynch lol. No idea where you get "he runs small" from. IMO, he needs to put on weight because of his running style. That's what concerns me the most but I love the kid. He'd be an instant upgrade from the garbage we currently have on the roster.

He just needs to be a smarter runner at times. I think if he packed on about 7-8lbs he could be a force. All depends on his comfort level about putting on extra weight...

Maybe, I think he'd grow on me. Consistent big plays out of the backfield would win me over. That said, we've still got Cooter, so, yeah, might not matter who's back there. Destined for failure

Besides Saquan Barkley looking like the next coming of Barry Sanders.....Nick Chubb really stood out at the combine and is my pick for our feature back (if we draft someone). He's the thunder we need and put up good numbers.

Bj hill had a huge day 3 for me. Grab that dt in rd2.

I hope that Maurice Hurst ends up being cleared like Star Lotulelei was. He's my favorite target for us in the 1st round. I think he can end up with a career like Geno Atkins. I'll list a 3 round mock in order of preference first.

1. Maurice Hurst(if healthy)/Vita Vea/Harold Landry
2. Hercules Mata'afa/Billy Price
3. Frank Ragnow

I'm okay with getting both Landry and Mata'afa and no DT in the first 3 rounds. I don't think we should keep Ansah beyond the franchise tag. I don't think he'll be worth big money and cap space for his production in his later years. I don't mind Wynn or Hernandez in the first. I just hope they stay with DL/OL.

Nick Chubb had a great combine, no doubt. But Sony Michel seemed more dynamic to me when I saw the two play. I do worry about previously posted ball security issues for Michel.

I would prefer Rashaad Penny over either Georgia RB but this seems to be a deep RB draft class. I wouldn't mind any upgrade at RB in this draft. If we could bolster the D-line and LB early in the draft and get a quality RB in the 3rd or 4th.
