So many Empty seats for both hoops and hockey team sadly :/

i have to think that ticket prices have risen, to watch both clubs perform in their new digs, and the overall cost to attend games has become even further out of reach for many, if not most fans. After gawking for a game, only a winning team is left to attract after that one expensive visit. Maybe if the Pistons continue to win, then more seats will get filled later in the season.

Constructing a brand new facility for an NHL franchise, whose teams have become progressively worse, ever since their last Stanley Cup championship in '08, appears to be polishing the proverbial turd. No matter how high-tech that it may be.

Wonder how long that their other tenants in the Pistons will remain, before low attendance figures prompts them to build their own Palace Part Deux, out in the exurbs. Especially if the franchise becomes relevant again in the NBA, while fielding a series of top contending teams.
