    Not enough work could have been done to fix this team with Stafford. By the time the defense is up to speed, he'll be like 35 and basically about done. Get your QB of the future in the first round, draft a crap ton of defense, be awful next year, start this right.

    For my personal rooting interest, I wanted them to pass Atlanta because I don't see Houston or Philly drafting a QB. I'm hoping that the Jets or Atlanta pass up on a QB and leave the door open for the Lions to take Fields/Wilson.

    Yep. Griffin was a terrible contract when it happened and it still is. The dude plays hard but he's the 3rd or 4th best option on a championship-level team. He gets all the work with Detroit because there is no one else.
