Steve Wilkerson in a 10-8 16 inning game gets the Angels out 1-2-3. Pretty cool, he was throwing sub 60 I think.

It's better than the hold. Now overall the save is 'bogus' I agree. But some saves are better than ever. It was a stat that was probably created so a RP could have something to their name like a starters W's & L's.

W's and L's are also bogus stats in many ways. So many post-season awards and HOF inductions have been made on this stat alone, especially in regards W's. (or lack thereof for the HOF).

Yes. But I think it's changed a bit over the years at least in regards to a Cy Young.
