49ers making a push for CB Eric Wright

And Washington and Tampa Bay too. WTF did they watch him last year?

eric wright didn't play too bad last year. He was inconsistent, but he definitely had some good games. Put him with that LB crew and D-Line and the 49ers D gets even better.

Ya they saw wright running with his guy underneath and the over the top coverage biting on playaction.

Eric Wright - DB - Lions

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the 49ers, Redskins, and Bucs are all pursuing free agent CB Eric Wright.
Wright is surprisingly drawing more initial interest than veteran Carlos Rogers. The 49ers are also reportedly in on Brandon Carr, though the Cowboys are determined to sign him before he leaves their facility. According to CSN Bay Area, the Niners are "going big" after Wright, and a decision is expected within 12 hours.

49ers resigned rodgers. rams grabbed Finnegan. Carr more than likely to Cowboys by morning. Richard Marshall goes next then teams turn to Wright probably after that.

Wright is gone. He got a 5yr deal from the bucs. Not sure on the money yet

hope the bucs sign Nick next......keep spending money without Tulloch's name attached

Just curious, how do you guys think this years top 3 corners(Claiborne, Kirkpatrick, Jenkins) stack up against last years top 3(Peterson, Amukamara, Smith)? Because as of right now Im thinking the lions are in deep shit as far as the secondary is concerned, and wish they wouldve grabbed Smith or Amukamara last year.

Agreed, I thought he looked good for a majority of the season. Our entire secondary shit the bed towards the end of the season. I think they went from giving up the 5th least ammount of yards to the high teens in a matter of 3 or so games. I just hope the Lions dont end up going with Berry as their #2 corner this year.

5 years, 37 million. WOWOWOWOWOW Never thought he would get that. Almost $8 million ANNUALLY!

Looks like we are drafting a Rd 1 CB.

Nah.. we still have all universe Aaron berry. He's an elite talent.. remember?
Yep

Lions CB Aaron Berry is expected to have a bigger role in 2012 after the departure of Eric Wright.
Coach Jim Schwartz lauded Berry unprompted a few times at the Combine, talking him up as a potential starter. The team's confidence in Berry may be one reason why they didn't meet Wright's price in free agency.
