Lions were essentially 'even' to the Washington Redskins this year in terms of ELO. Making them the '3rd Best' Non-Playoff team, and 15th best total in the league.

This isnt any 'breaking news' by any means, we know the Lions ended up finishing the year looking like a remarkably average team...whether thats a positive due to the first 8 games, or a negative due to the 11 win season last year, well that's everyones own decision to make...

That's one bad award. Since we select 16th in the draft I guess 15th best is where we should be, right?. At least we get another banner.

Lions tied for 4th best 2nd half record, I'd say that's banner-worthy.

Seriously though, when you think of how bad the first half of the season was, to finish even average means they had a one hell of a second half.

If you are the worst team in football for half the season, to land in the middle, you'd have to be the best team in football the second half.

No excuses or anything, but given how those first games went, I'm relieved we finished out at "average". There was a week or two there when I was sweating 0-16 again.
