For tbise who criticized my comments on the anti-gun threads that the solution to the problem is not the guns, but correcting the mental state of the individuals with the most effective solution being memristors, if you would so kindly read the info in the link (sorry that it came from the hated foxnews, but even national enquirer finds a nut once in awhile).

Microchips that enable telepathic thought...just one more step in the direction toward fixing the murder problems of all types, not just gun violence. Also rape and other problems.

As previously mentioned, people will resist at first but eventually won't have many options as the military will absolutely take advantage of this technology. As it proves effectiveness, businesses will also. Yahoo might even reconsider their new requirement that empioyees come to the office more.

Still don't want it, what about for the ability to check on your parents or grandparents when their health is deteriorating? Or your own as this will enable doctors to monitor your health without physically going to the office for checkups?

Still no? What about being able to keep an eye on your child in a crowded public place? Get separated? No problem for that matter, what about being able to more rapidly help your child learn and discover?

Now you might still be against this, but I assure you many will jump on this regardless of monetary costs, loss of perceived freedoms, ethical debates about doing implants without individual consent, or other reasons. However, anyone who does not do it will find themselves being left behind and becoming the technical equivalent of a mountain man. You will have that choice, but discover you are an outcast for doing so.

Might not happen in our generation, or maybe we will be those grandparents being carefully watched by our children and grandchildren. But it is coming. Do we need to be extra careful about utilizing the tech, of course. Is there potential for misuse and abuse, absolutely. Nonetheless, it is coming so better to be prepared and plan now on bow you will proceed and what path you will encourage your loved ones to follow.

My wife, totally against it, until I mentioned being able to keep close eye on our young one. Suddenly she saw many advantages and could see using it for the baby's safety. Vast majority have a soft spot for which this tech will be advantageous.
