Did you guys know that the Arena Football League is returning this spring? They filed for bankruptcy just a few years ago, but they're back.

Here are the teams:

I'm really excited about the Nashville Kats being back in town. They folded back in 2007, so it's been almost 20 years. I've never been to an Arena Football game in person, I just remember watching the games on NFL Network back when they were giving them a crap ton of money to feature the games on their network.

We've got a team coming in Texas, but it's a ways away. Can't say I care enough to travel that distance to see semi-pro football.

The Kats are just 15-20 minutes away from me, so there’s that. They’ve just announced that they’ll be on NFL Network again, so it’ll be on TV.

When I lived in SE Michigan the Detroit Fury was a convenient, affordable, and spontaneous distraction that proved entertaining.

It's too bad they didn't bring that back with the other teams.

Seems the league has already fallen apart. Tried to watch the Kats season opener on TV, but couldn’t find it. It wasn’t anywhere that they were claiming it would be on. They had a deal that a bunch of games would be on NFL Network, and supposedly that got delayed because of technical issues.

Then I found out that Iowa Rampage has already dropped out of the league now. Teams are claiming that the league isn’t paying for some of the costs that they had promised to cover.

Welp, it's gotten worse. A lot of these teams are gone... Iowa Rampage, Philadelphia Soul, Georgia Force, Minnesota Myth, etc. I believe they're down to ten teams now, but it's been hard to find accurate news on what's even going on now. The team owners did end up voting to oust the commissioner, and now they've selected Jeff Fisher (former Titans/Rams head coach) to be the interim commissioner.
