Weigh ins were yesterday. Josh King wowed onlookers with his freakish measurables.
6-6.5 245lbs, 36" arms and 11" hands. There's talk of a 5th star from 247 writers. He had the longest arms and biggest hands of all players there.

We have 3 other commits there too and all 3 had crazy measurables.
Cam Chambers 6-1.5 204 lbs with 34.5" arms
Brandon Randle 6-1.5, 217 with 34" arms, 10.5" hands, longest arms and biggest hands among all LBs.
Demtric Vance 6-1.75, 201 with 34.5" arms, the longest arms among the DBs.

All 4 were freak physical specimens and the scouts are talking about bumps for all 4 in the rankings.

Brandon Randle had a great 1st day at the US Army practice week. Was excellent in pass coverage and showed great speed and range, intercepted a pass. Was noted as the best LB there. Demetric Vance was among the best DBs and is very rangy for a safety.

Eason and Patterson were the best QBs. Austin Mack (OSU commit) made freaky spectacular catches all day. Clemson DT commit, Dexter Lawrence was probably the star of the day and there's talk he could jet to the #1 overall player, at 340 lbs he's got the speed and agility of someone 250 lbs, just a freak.

From today:

"Michigan State LB commit Brandon Randle is the biggest freak in his position group, earned praise because of that from his position coach" Wiltfong

Consider that his position group includes 5 star LBs Caleb Kelly and Mique Juarez. Randle showed up at the weigh in and had the longest arms and biggest hands in his group. In drills he's been on receivers like glue and shows freakish athletic ability. He'll be a top 100 player on a couple sites before signing day, he might be the best player in the State.

"@DamonSayles: Gotta say Josh King (@JoshuaKing_12) has had a very good 1st day of #ArmyBowl practice. He's been a problem for OLs.

King was named a top 5 defensive performer for the East side yesterday (#3), his insane length allows him to use his hands well and he plays with leverage. He swatted down several passes in the quick passing game.

King will likely be a 247 5 star with a good performance the rest of the week and in the game. He's probably the most physically gifted DE in the country. Another thing about King is he is an All American wrestler at 225 lbs, he has to keep the weight off to be able to cut all the way to 225, this guy is a huge human being who is ripped as hell, he'll easily be 255 lbs of iron by next Fall. He's going to have a great chance to play next year. He's basically a Will Gholston clone who plays with better leverage.

We have never had two athletic freaks like King and Robertson at DE come in to MSU in the same class.

King was named a top defensive performer for another practice. And he was cited by the OL men he's going up against as the toughest guy to block. His length is tough for O linemen to deal with since they rely on their long arms to get a hold of, King had the longest arms at weigh in. He in fact would have had the longest arms and biggest hands at last year's NFL combine. His wrestling background helps him play with leverage and he's good with his hands.

He's a 5 star talent.

Josh King looks fantastic, he's been the bet DE in the game. Drawing double teams now, blew by the tackles whenever he was one on one with them. Just missed a sack, but has been around the QB all half.

I saw Kraemer put him on his ass.

Quite a WR group coming in if it stays together

Well Corley and Chambers will be in class next week. Jackson and Layne have not wavered. I like that all 4 of them are between 6-1.5 and 6-4 yet all have slightly different skill sets. Chambers is a possession receiver who is physical. Corley is your Burbridge type guy. Layne and Jackson can both take the top off the defense. All 4 have a chance to play early. And 3 of the 4 could eventually get a look on D too. Corley had 9 INTs this season.

I'd say 60% that hill goes to Michigan. His brother plays there, I think it took a while for him to buy in but he's happy now. If he committed in November it would have been us.

Hearing that some momentum swung back to msu, that's coming from a Michigan beat writer

Saw that too. If UM lands that corner from CA Hill will probably go green.

Word from the Army game is that Chambers was the best WR there, ran great routes, was physical, showed great hands, and was a lot faster than first thought.

4 4 star wr's for us, i'd expect most of them to play next year, maybe Corley at safety
