Not sure if someone else posted this and frankly the article isn't even directed or for me. Mainly because I am too young to really have had many memories at the old Tiger Stadium.

I only read part of it. But saying Briggs Stadium is ignored over, say Fenway, a team still plays in Fenway but not at the old ballpark. Personally, Briggs Stadium needed to go and needed to be knocked down. Another building doing nothing in Detroit, not a good idea. Don't really care for a plague or statue..

It is sad that 100 years from now, no one will have any (living) memories of Tiger Stadium and the spot will be (probably) be forgotten unless some owner moves them back in 50-70 years.
