So Liberal states like NY and CA are better with their economy and everything else, right?

My point is that every state has major issues and no state is perfect whether they are run by Conservatives or Liberals. Maybe instead of pointing at others we start creating better run states. Best and most effective way to get these states out of debt is shrinking their governments and the US government, all of which are massive money sucks from being bloated beyond what is necessary. Don't raise taxes, shrink the government. Unfortunately both sides just try to increase their version of government and none of it shrinks.

Shrewd means of forcing those who cannot support themselves & who rely on Medicaid and/or other state/federal programs to leave their state if they can. Similar in concept to Fidel Castro emptying his prisons of the criminally insane, and mentally infirm during the Mariel Boatlift of '80.

Get rid of many of the lazy libs, and create a redder state. After all, anyone who must rely on handouts shouldn't be permitted to vote and couldn't possibly be a "real" conservative.

Typical rightwing alternatives to receiving government-provided healthcare coverage: Prayer, church, charity, friends, family, and relatives. Or if all else fails, then maybe as Sue Lowdon suggested several yeas ago:

I remember back in 2008, some Red State moron blogger was inciting violence against the Dems in his state - Mississippi, Arkansas, or Alabama, forget which one (not that there's a difference) - and ranting about "entitlements" and "welfare" and that crap. I think some of his readers went so far as to start breaking windows at a democrat's campaign office, or light bags of dog poo on fire, or something like that. then it came out he was on welfare himself... had been receiving worker's comp and social security disability payments for years. it's only "welfare" when it goes to people that vote Democratic.
