Several good charts. all based on 247's numbers. Big Ten is the worst of the Power 5 (just a shade shy of the ACC's numbers). SEC is killing it as much as you think they are.

Quite frankly, I don't give a shit, and neither should anyone else. As long as UM continues to recruit well and moves toward competing for undefeated seasons, I'm happy. I don't get all this "conference love" bullshit that says I have to root for other B1G teams in their bowl games. I rooted for both Clemson and Stanford to beat OSU and MSU.

I'll start caring when Michigan goes undefeated some year and is left out of the playoff. Until then, fuck it.

With 5 conferences and 4 playoff spots, I'm more concerned about the fate of a 1-loss Michigan. Especially if you've got ESPN pushing for 2 SEC teams to go.

Yup, I'm kinda in agreement here. I don't necessarily get the root for your conference thing. I hate those teams, they want to beat us on a weekly basis so they can all go to hell. If we're winning a title every year it doesn't matter to me how terrible OSU and MSU suck.

I won't post them here, but if you want, find the videos of OSU fans and the PSU student sections celebrating the UM loss to App State in '07. Fuck if I'm going to root for one of UM's rivals because of the "conference." Fuck that shit.

I'm not worried about that. In fact, I look forward to such a situation... it would be one more blow to the creaking structure of college football. Only when it collapses will we see real reform and a return to better days.

100% agree. I have never understood this. I root for Michigan and Michigan only. I always want OSU, MSU, and ND to lose their bowl games and any other game for that matter. I've never understood how a Michigan fan roots for any of those rivals.

100% agree. I have never understood this. I root for Michigan and Michigan only.

I will usually root for the non-corrupt Big Ten teams when they play OOC, i.e. everyone but ohio & penn st.

and Nebraska football is such a mess, I hate to see them win as well. giving up 70 pts in a conference championship game is a disgrace. everyone else in the conference gets hurt by association with Bo Pelini's teams... you never know what they're going to do, but it will always be bad for the rest of the Big Ten.

I honestly don't give a shit about bowl games anymore. The only bowl game I watch is the one Michigan plays.

Talking about the Rose Bowl and talking about the one Michigan plays should be the same thing. It was 1/3 to 1/2 the time before all the BS started.

It would be nice if it was the same thing, but it hasn't been for almost a decade. I haven't watched a Rose Bowl since 2007.

To me, the BCS isn't worth that. Not that that's the whole problem, but it was obvious there would be fewer Rose Bowls in our future even if the team didn't slide backwards.

I would happily supplant the Rose Bowl with future playoff appearances. Playoffs are infinitely better than bowl games. A 12 team playoff is needed. Right meow.

I am willing to bet we will at worst have an 8 team playoff soon. My guess would be 5 years. I know when OSU and MSU play my dream scenario is a giant sink hole swallowing the stadium and everyone in it
