The lack of respect the big ten gets is getting out of hand. Call me a homer but Wisconsin is a top 10 team and MSU is right there with them. The defense of Wisconsin is good and flirting with great! That rushing attack they have is one of a kind. I don't care that they have two losses, based on the way they're playing they're a top 10 team. MSUs defense alone will keep them in any game and with Cook getting better and Langford running well behind a good offensive line they look really good. People knock OSU for a soft schedule, but who has FSU beat? Clemson is their only quality win and OSUs win over Wisconsin is just as good in my eyes.
Put the top 3 teams of the big ten against any other conferences top 3 and I'll take the big ten every time.
But I guess if all 3 win their bowl games things would slowly change.

I agree, and the B1G announcers and officials have let the narrative become how badd the B1G is. We have 3 top 15 teams. Nebraska has come along and is a good team now. It's not an exceptionally strong year for the B1G, but it's not a horrible year IMO.

Saying the B1G is terrible is just a way to say that it can't be good unless Michigan is good. Michigan has not been a powerhouse for most of the last 20 years, so I think it's a reach to say because they are bad the B1G is bad.

Wisconsin has been severely underrated. Other than playing OSU tough on the road, they have the 1 loss to ASU where they pretty much had them beat on the road and as it turns out ASU is pretty good.

The broad brush people try to use when it comes to evaluating teams and/or their conference affiliation is one of the things I dislike the most about college football.

I'm impressed with OSU, they look good but they are far from unbeatable. i think we'd be undefeated with their schedule as well.

i'm not penciling them in for the rose bowl like everyone is in their bowl projections.

They are 100% right. The B1G is flat out stinks. Wisconsin really come along? The combined record of the B1G teams Wisconsin has beaten is 5-25, three of them haven't won a single B1G game and once again they have not beaten a B1G team with a winning record in conference. Iowa is the only team they have beaten that even has a winning record overall. If anything is wrong w/ B1G rankings, it's that OSU is ranked #3 and #4. For some reason their wins are not getting the appropriate B1G discount. This conference is just plain awful.

tough to say MSU would be undefeated with OSU's schedule when MSU isn't undefeated with their own equally pathetic schedule.

we did lose @ ND but we've also won some tough road games @ Iowa and @ Nebraska.

who has OSU beaten on the road?

@ Iowa is not a tough road game. They're 3-3, haven't beaten anybody unless you're buying into the Minnie hype (remember, Minnie got pimp slapped by michigan).

There is no real reason to be in awe of osu though. If we get there, we will definitely have a shot.
