I don't know how many people know this but I certainly didn't. His name is actually Charles Inge. My friend works at Fifth Third bank in Novi and he came in to deposit a check last Friday. She didn't know who he was and took some flak from her managers for ID'ing him. Apparently his check and ID read the name Charles Inge. I didn't believe her until I just did some research and his Wikipedia does list that as his name. Figured I would share that great useless information. When do the games start?

Of course!!! This is not surprising, most Super Heroes have secret identities. Brandon Inge can hit HRs at will, he just flicks his wrist and they go out of the park. His other Super Power is being the whiniest teammate in the Major Leagues.

Imagine how many Indians fans didn't know(all of em) that Fausto Carmona's real name is Roberto Hernandez Heridia, his middle and last names being that of his father's and mother's surnames, before they were married by Dominican law. Roberto still hasn't managed to obtain permission to return to the US from the D.R. and apparently as part of getting his travel visa back, he has to go to schools in the nation, to tell the youngsters learning in them, not to do like he did, and lie about his real name and age, so that he could someday make million$ in the US as an MLB SP. ((chuckle))

Hahaha at "Ole Charley Threestrikes". I think I'm gonna use that one for Chuck's last year in Detroit

I'm thinking about calling/naming him "ChucKy ChecKswing", myself.

People go by their middle names all the time. Not that earth-shattering, but still interesting to hear about our old pal "Chucky" Inge.

Anybody who frequently lurks or posts here on our Proboard ever wonder if Inge knew about our late (but not lamented) INGE=HOF!!! thread(s) on the several reformatted variations of our now vanished (vacated-vanquished?) ESPN messageboard?

I have, but since it is very unlikely that I will be able to attend a game or two during this coming season @ CoPa, much less be able to get close enough to ask ChucKy ChecKswing, as this may very well be his last and possibly shortened/abbreviated season as a Tiger, I probably will never know, maybe someone here does? Does he have a Twitter account? Probably better for his sake, if he doesn't, or at least not a publicized/known one anyway.
