Now I see Corey Williams and Burleson will be Lions again in 2012 IMO the Lions will be very quiet in FA and may add a minor tweak here or there but will re-sign their own like Tulloch and probably Eric Wright.

Im hoping for a CB and a OG in the first 2 rounds of the draft now and am now all in and going to start my crusade for 2013 to bring Jake Long home.

the cap will rise in 2013 by a significant amount and the Lions will have at least 15 - 20 million coming off the books in guys like Corey Williams , Nate Burleson , KVB and a few other minor players.

take that money and go all in on Jake Long.

Just an idea

Could you imagine this offense with him anchoring the OL? Man, that'd be awesome.

only going to be 28 next year , his brother will be a Senior at Wayne St and is engaged to a Michigan girl....

go get him in 2013...... :)

only problem with my dream....the Phins will almost 100% for sure franchise him....lol

Yeah I was going to say that. I would love it but I can't see the phins letting him go barring some major developments.

Say phins tag him, Lions could still trade for him right? Would likely cost a pretty penny, but might be worth it.

I thought Jakes brother was a SR this year at Wayne St, read something were he won the title of best OL in Div II

Slick is there a limit to how many consecutive years you can franchise one specific player? EDIT: Looks like 3 seasons is the max....

you Sir are correct...no more then 3 consecutive years.

I know the Seahawks franchised Walter Jones 3 straight times and it pissed him right off...lol
