Nate Burleson - WR - Lions Nate Burleson has agreed to restructure his contract, which will likely keep him with the Lions in 2013.
Details are unknown, but Burleson was scheduled to reel in a $4.5 million base salary in 2013, a year after breaking his leg. Burleson, 31, is one of the leaders for Detroit, so it makes sense to keep him around on a young team looking for direction. He's said he expects to be ready for the offseason program. in other news:

Jahvid Best - RB - Lions Coach Jim Schwartz confirmed the Lions will approach the 2013 offseason as if Jahvid Best (concussions) is not on the roster.
The Lions are pursuing a speed back to pair with early-down bruiser Mikel Leshoure. Asked specifically about free agent Reggie Bush, Schwartz replied, "Has tampering season officially opened? We?re worried about our own team right now, we?re evaluating every single player ... and we?ll leave no stone unturned." Source: Detroit Free Press Feb 21 - 3:50 PM

Mikel Leshoure - RB - Lions Coach Jim Schwartz said he expects Mikel Leshoure to "make a big jump" in 2013.
"He flashed enough highs that gives us optimism that he can (be explosive), but he also had enough inconsistency to say that he's not there yet," said Schwartz. "We still have high hopes for him." Leshoure's 2012 season was essentially his rookie year after missing all of 2011 with a torn Achilles'. The team had just three runs of 20-plus yards last season, and Leshoure didn't have any of them. Source: detroitlions.com Feb 21 - 2:40 PM

He tweeted a pic of the contract lol. He says we wants to retire a Lion. He didnt show anything where it says how much he is now making though.

Stafford is next. I'm just hoping that he doesn't try to stick it in the Lions ass. He holds all the cards in these negotiations and could get $20+ million a year. I'm hoping maybe Tom Lewand is able to show him that the Lions are using there cap space unlike other teams and we're able to get him in for $15m a year.
