Nice. Some real gaffes in this game. Strange, but entertaining. Not being a fan of either team, nice to see a game 7 out of this series. The rainout too gives us FRI night game 7 to boot, cool.

The Texas right fielder lost the game for them. He doesn't let up on that ball - they win the world series. Two outs in the world fucking series and you're going to be afraid of hitting the wall? He needed to do anything in his power to catch that ball and he basically let it hit the ground.

He definitely misplayed that ball, but he didn't let up on it; he just misjudged it. I'm fairly certain that the ball was cutting away from him and Cruz just thought it was going to be closer to him.

Hard to say why Cruz misplayed it, but he did. I've seen plenty of OF eat the wall chasing a ball.
