How about former GVSU head coach and multiple national title winner Chuck Martin? Does his resume not scream "Jim Tressel"?

I've posted about him a couple times.

Became hot candidate b/c of being OC at ND when they played for National Championship.

But it was Kelly who was running that offense.

Either way, got a good track record as a HC, and another who I think is better than Hoke.

If anything else, another thing to like about Chuck Martin is that he is a defensive minded coach. He was DC at GVSU before he took over for Kelly. 3 NCs, 2 as head coach and 1 as DC and 1 NC loss his last year.

I wanted to add one other thing. I am not for or against Martin one way or the other. I think he should be a candidate. The thing I want to add is that no matter division of football whether it be FCS or Division II or DIII . A coach that wins a National Championship brings a little something else to the table.
