CJ Wilson an Angel

They will use him as their #4 most likely. He's damn good for a #4, but I agree he's overrated. Their rotation is gonna be Weaver, Haren, Santana, Wilson, ??????. That's a pretty nasty lineup and rivals Philly for the best in baseball, IMHO.

I'm not so sure Wilson is a sub 3 guy. He was last year but I'm thinking 3.5-3.8.

as a #4 rotation guy , hell ya...good signing

nasty rotation for the Halo's

Too bad he didn't get number 4 money.

I doubt Angel fans care...not their money.

Im sure you'd be happy as a clam if he'd have signed here.

last i looked baseball has no salary cap.

hatin....lol

you shit on anything another team besides the Lions or Tigers do.

it's a great signing.....Dumbrowski has thrown dumbass money at guys also to get them here.

I never said it wasn't a great signing. You said he makes a good #4 rotation and responded about #4 money. Don't read in more than I mean.

I really thought that it would be the Marlins along with probably the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs and Nats that would be the MLB teams who would have the most itchy trigger fingers for this offseason's top FA crop, but nope, so far it has been the Marlins and the AL LA Angels, the latter franchise whose team has the repeat AL pennant-winning Rangers as divisional foes, with a former Angels' catcher in Napoli playing a key role in the Rangers regular and postseason haunting them and that fact likely had a lot of influence on their wild spending spree so far.

The Rangers will still be good. Angels won't roll over them.

Rankings last 3 years Away (Out of 150 starters

Haren #10

Weaver #26

Wilson #35

Santana #62

What is funny about that though is IF the Tigers would of been able to land Gio for the right price I would of gladly taken our 1 thru 5 over the Angels even with CJ added to their rotation.

Verlander, Fister, Gonzalez, Scherzer and Porcello. That would of been a hell of a rotation for us.

Could still happen if the A's get more reasonable with the asking price.

You always start high. Just like getting a new job, go hi they lower it and you get what what you wanted anyway :) .

Unfortunately Arizona seems really high on Gio though and with their available prospects trumping what we would be able to offer I don't see us a player at all now.
