In exchange for Barkevious Mingo, Jake Martin and a 2020 third-round draft pick.

In other words the Texans got screwed.

They had no leverage. He didn’t sign the tender and he wasn’t going to play. Players don’t get all the leverage in negotiations that often, but Clowney had it.

Said it 3 months ago. Go trade for him and pay him slays money. We have no rush... missed on a huge chance to change that.

Houston might now want to question their no-look GM and actually go get a GM.

They get Laremy Tunsil and receiver Kenny Stills from Miami (along with a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2021 sixth-rounder), the Texans gave up their 2020 first-round pick, their 2021 first-round pick, their 2021 second-round pick, tackle Julien Davenport, and cornerback Johnson Bademosi.

I believe Tunsil is in his last season as well under contract.
