Conf. realignment - not a fan of big

ps i am a traditionalist - i loved the old conferences and the old bowl alignments - i wasn't as hung up on who is #1 and playoff

i'm fine with 12 so we can have a conference championship, but any more is overkill.

I do not want to see more than 12 in any conference. Having a 16 team conference is ridiculous. It is more like 2 conferences meshed than 2 divisions in a conference. Even with a 9 game conference schedule, you can only play 2 of the teams from the other division each year if you play your entire division. It would take 4 years for a team to play everyone in their conference. That is beyond stupid.

I wouldn't mind the acc and big east joining. But pac big 12 big ten and sec should stay the same. Add tcu to the big 12. And have a playoff system. Id say 6 teams, 4 conference winners, and the 2 best ranked teams that were left out.

yep that is my point

i know we are stuck with 12 but that should be it

I would like for the Conferences to get rid of some of the "fat" like the lower range teams that really are not doing much for the conference. That way they could have a powerful conference and add a few more bigger schools in them if needed but that would never happen. Also I do not know why they do not take the BCS bowl games and make those the playoff, it seems to basic for them to have not done that yet.

I think the Big Ten is fine but I also thought it was stupid for them to at least not talk with Texas and Oklahoma about joining when they were looking to move because those are big schools with a good audience and they are good at football
