Remember him? Well remember how he transferred to Pitt to follow his positions coach Gibson? Apparently karma has struck and with Gibson leaving for Arizona he is pissed:

What made him think RR wouldn't get a job and Gibson wouldn't leave?

This

Kids need to realize the school is just as important and inches will move

He could have stayed and been in a bcs game

Well he should look on the bright side. At least he won't be coached by the worst secondary coach in the history of football anymore.

Btw, Arizona was 119th in pass defense this year. Now they have Gibson coaching their secondary lol!

Cant get much worse!

Cullen shouldn't be too upset. He had Pitt as his finalist while Gibson was at Michigan. He's close to home and his family. He should be thankful hes even playing D1 football and getting a free degree.

Pitt dropped from 17th ranked pass defense last year to 70th this year. Gibson works wonders.

lol ouch. My question is WHY on earth would RR hire him AGAIN!? He literally got fired from Michigan because of what defense he put on the field and now he's doing the same thing at Arizona. He's hiring all of his friends and then is going to expect some poor DC that they hire to coach "their way" and Arizona is going to end up being terrible.

he played for RR and has been with him all the time - i tell there is a friendship or idol worship there

I remember reading something on Gibson something like when he left WVU the new DB coach came in and the players said that in three months they learned more about the position than three years with him.

Yeah I laughed when I heard RRod hired all those shitty coaches again.

Good luck trying to stop the USC's and Oregeon's of the world...

Because Rich Rodriguez is retarded. He has no clue about defense or hiring the right people to coach his defense. Arizona's defense is already really, really bad. RR has already taken step one to make them worse. Next up is hiring a DC who has never ran the 3-3-5. Then he'll force him to run it and make the defense even worse. I foresee a lot of highlights of RR on the sidelines screaming until it looks like he might shit himself.

If Arizona has a bad D, it'll fit right into the majority of teams in the PAC

Did anyone happen to see Pitt's collapse at Iowa? 21 point lead with 18 minutes to go in the game. Iowa's final 2 touchdowns came basically on the same friggin' play from the same field position against the same defense. It brought back horrible memories.

Tony Gibson is apparently a tremendous recruiter. That's fine if you want to keep a guy like that on staff. But having him coach your last line of defense is questionable to say the least.

Calvin MaGee is a good coach. And Jeff Casteel is a solid D coordinator.
