Will miss at least 3 weeks, really hurts his chances to win the starting field corner spot. Hicks was outstanding the 1st half of the season, but regressed during and after the Ohio State game. Colquehon, Edmundson, and Copeland are now fighting to start opposite Cox.

He was listed as the co-starter with Colquehon on the first Fall depth chart.

I thought Hicks was going to take the next step this year, he was actually great half of last season and then he lost his confidence. Colquehon is bigger and faster, but Hicks had great ball skills and was more fluid.

Well, to be young is something. It's been announced that Hicks will be back practicing this week. Should be able to play against Western, doubt he starts now though. Sounds like Vayante Copeland has really stepped up this camp and is battling Colquehen for the starting field corner spot.

Its not only a 3 week deal, its a 6 week deal with loss of weight, strength and obviously practice. Id look for him to be in playing shape but not for 6-8 weeks.

some people catch a more severe case than others id assume. To bounce back in 4-5 days a week? That doesnt sound like mono. I was in pretty good athletic shape in college so that wouldnt account for that vast of a recovery difference.
