Darius Slades flips to MSU

This guy set the state record for sacks in NJ this year with 23.5. His film is just incredible and our staff made him their #1 target at DE all cycle. He committed to Nebraska a month ago.

Now is where it takes an odd turn. Slade is close to former PSU guy LArry Johnson Sr. His cousin a current NFL player played for Johnson at PSU. So OSU hires LJ Sr away and Urban Meyer personally visits Slade yesterday to offer him. Slade decommits from Nebraska last night. Seems obvious that he was going to commit to OSU...nope commits to MSU today.

This kid is 6-5, 238 lbs with as explosive of a 1st step as I've seen in a high school DE. He's another guy the services have missed on as he's only a high 3 star kid. This kid is an elite athlete whose 1st step I would put against any DE's in the nation. He's got the potential to be great.

We're still leading for McDowell, but I have heard the staff was just as high if not higher on Slade than McDowell. Kid is that good.
