Best signings of the day. Davis will have 13 months of recovery by the time kickoff of game 1 happens, his ceiling is 1st team All American.

Knox will start at DT if McDowell moves to DE.

Clemens will start at RG.

Knox has decided not to return and instead move on to a career in law enforcement.

We really need to sign one of those grad transfer DTs now. Or we'll be playing freshman.

I'd think this means more time at DE for Jamal Lyles and Malik inside full time.

This seems a little strange that he's not coming back, there has to be more to the story. Why go through spring practice and then decide this?

Seems so, he graduated in December, but MSU never officially submitted paperwork for the 6th year.

also, they release it at 4:30 on a friday, the traditional news dump time where you release bad news. I think there's more to it. I don't think Knox got in any kind of trouble, he was known as a leader in the locker room.

Looks like he's had a ton of injuries but we'll take all the help we can get

Yeah, same as Knox in that regard with injuries. If healthy he's a solid starter. Could work out really good for us.

I'll wait to hear some scouting reports but I'm hoping this move is a wash.

Dantonio announced today that Davis is good to go for his 6th year.

Also, somewhat Davis related, we picked up his younger cousin Xavier Henderson out of Ohio for our first 2018 recruit. 4 star athlete. #7 player in Ohio.

I know he's been practicing for a few weeks, hopefully it doesn't take too long for Ed Davis to look like the Ed Davis from 2014

He has been working out with the team, but couldn't practice until a couple weeks ago, he should be in good shape, but he will still take a few games to get back up to speed. I expect him to be the old Ed Davis by game 5. And he could be an All-Big Ten level LB by season's end or maybe better. Exactly the player we needed last year, he is a natural slippery pass rusher.
