got hurt in practice last night

wow

This is unfortunate, but will make this team better for March. This team needed some adversity to bring out the best in it, all teams do.

Could be but winning the big ten is important, we have an easier schedule to start. I'd be happy if we only had one loss when he comes back.

Of course he is. It would not be MSU basketball to have it be otherwise.

Guess this'll be a good test of that depth we've been talking about all season. However, every statement that could be said about the advantages of our depth (immune to injuries, foul trouble, etc) would need to have an "except for Denzel" added to the end of it.

Could be an opportunity for someone like Harris to step up and provide offense.

Refer to msu hoops injury sticky. I said 3 months ago valentine would go down i just have to laugh ironically :). So fucking typical and annoying!

Harris has shown a lot of skill, just poor decision making at times. He's been coming along though and finding a role, now he may have to do more, could be good for him.

He has shown skill but been very streaky so far. Be interesting to see if Izzo moves him to the starting lineup, or maybe puts McQuaid there, or possibly even maybe starts 2 bigs and slides Bess over to the 3 (that would be a very offensively challenged group).

The game against Oakland just got a lot more interesting. Checked out their results so far and they're good - and scoring a ton of points.

Izzo already said Harris will start. The player who will have to step up though is Nairn IMO, he was great the last game, he has to run the offense and continue to make good decisions.
