So since 2011 Detroit is 11-6 out of division and 3-7 in division. Why does Detroit suck in the division.

11-6 lost to San Fran twice, at Saints twice, Atl, and at Ten

3-7 Division. TURNOVERS. All 3 division wins they have tied or won the turnover battles including 4 and outs caused at Minnesota and vs Chicago last year to make a +1 and 0 differential and were +5 home vs Minnesota in 2011

In the 7 losses
-6 turnover differential at Chicago 2011 L 37-13
-3 Green Bay 2011 L 27-15
-2 at Green Bay 2011 L45-41
-2 Minnesota 2012 L 20-13
-3 at Chicago 2012 L13-7
-2 at Minnesota 2012 L 34-24
-3 Green Bay 2012 L 24-20

Detroit actually played better this year home vs Green Bay and at Chicago then they did last year. The 2 unconvential scores home vs Vikings went the other way this year as Detroit got forced fumble and int td last year but gave up special teams returns this year. And Peterson had a monster game instead of just good game plus better QB play in 2012 instead of just a good game and McNabb sucking in 2011.

Detroit STOP TURNING THE BALL OVER IN DIVISION and we'll be a good team. Not even force turnovers, not even run the ball or stop the run as the Bears and Vikings ran well in 2011 in the Lions divisional wins, just don't turn it over multiple times.

i hear ya but i think the fact we dont force any turnovers is more of a problem than turning the ball over ourselves. It seems like every qb we play throws for like a 90% completion rate. Were not doing a very good job of getting to the qbs and causing the pressure throws/sacks that lead to turnovers. And only god knows when the last time we made a Peanut Tillman type play and forced a fumble on a ball carrier. Our guys just arent very good at causing turnovers.

Agreed Lions were last year somewhat at forcing turnovers. The problem is Detroit's DEs suck other than Avril who is solid at best and they are playing backup safeties. Detroit is 8-4 when Delmas played the last 2 seasons forcing 3 picks in 2 games this year.

Division teams use alot more quick passes it seems too. They know us well. Defensively we have been fine against Chicago and Vikings once this season. Also holding Green Bay to two TDs offensively is a pretty good day. at Minnesota was the only game I truly blame the defense.
