My brother, who still lives in Southgate, just sent me a text saying the Lions traded Sammie Lee Hill to the Saints for Chris Ivory.

My brother is also a drunk and a coke-head and not worth the energy it would take to piss on his head, and this wouldn't be the first time he read some rumor somewhere and was convinced it already happened.

Anyone heard anything about this, or is this another example of why I don't talk to my brother?

I see nothing on twitter yet. I dont like the deal if it happens SLH can play well for us in rotation and I think the Saints will have to cut Ivory unless they carry 4-5 backs which I doubt.

There will be about 10 rbs better than chris ivory released by teams. If we trade SLH for him ill puke.

I've checked various outlets and can't find squat. I think your brother is ranking your lariat...

Yeah, it would have been reported by now. He's a douche.

Has he met glover's GF?

I married her. I'll roll over and as her if she saw Ivory with a lions jersey thrown over his shoulder at the Lions amin office.

Shit Grandy, I think he might BE glover's girlfriend.

ProFootballTalk has followed up on CBS’s Jason La Canfora’s report of the Lions looking to trade for a running back, reporting that New Orleans Saints RB Chris Ivory is a target.
Ivory has carried 35 times for 130 yards, a 3.7 average, in preseason. Fellow RB Travaris Cadet is 3rd among all players in receiving yards with 202 (Ivory has 1 reception for 15 yards), and looks to have passed Chris Ivory on the depth chart. New Orleans’ top 3 running backs are Darren Sproles, Pierre Thomas, and Mark Ingram.
Ivory has carried 216 times for 1090 yards and 6 touchdowns in 18 regular season games. Just 6 of those games were starts. He has 1 reception for 17 yards (Bush and Sproles were the main backs for that).
The Lions’ Jahvid Best is on the PUP list for the first six weeks of 2012, with doctors advising that he wait an entire calendar year after his last concussion to play. Mikel LeShoure has had injury issues, and so has Kevin Smith.

I had heard rumors too.. but I can't imagine SLH is the trade bait. A 6th rounder maybe, but I would think Mayhew could wait and see if he is cut Friday.

Daniel Thomas would be good IMO, not a fan of Moreno at ll. Ivory maybe but you I noticed leshoure only ave'd 2.9 yards a carry tonight. Does it really matter who we throw back there? If his name isn't Barry would they fair much better than 2.9-3 something a carry? probably not.

I think we should call Oakland and see what the availability of Taiwan Jones is. That guy has Best like talent. Shouldn't cost too much but I'm not sure if Oakland is willing to deal him.

He is #1 on my (realistic) trade wish list.

CSN Bay Area feels that Taiwan Jones "all but sewed up" the Raiders No. 2 tailback job after a strong performance in Sunday's preseason game against the Lions.
Jones ran for 50 yards on 10 carries in his first preseason outing. He had been dealing with a troublesome hamstring, but appears fully recovered. Even if Jones is listed second on the depth chart, Marcel Reece and a healthy Mike Goodson would see work, as well, if Darren McFadden went down with an injury

I dont think SLH would be traded.........IMO he is the 2nd best DT on the team

That kid's going nowhere.
