Man, how many children are taken into these things and how many Christians are taking their kids off to see the movie Frozen, produced by an organization that is probably one of the most pro-homosexual organizations in the country? You wonder sometimes, I?m not a tinfoil hat conspiratorialist, but you wonder sometimes if maybe there?s something very evil happening here. If I was the Devil, what would I do to really foul up an entire social system and do something really, really, really evil to 5- and 6- and 7-year-olds in Christian families around America?

Yeah, no tinfoil hat for that guy at all.

/sarcasm

talking about the devil like he's a real being is part of the problem. even if there is a devil, who the hell thinks he's pro-gay rights?

Well duh. Obviously.

The way he was banging Saddam in South Park should make it blatantly clear that he is! lol

There are numerous crack-pot religious leaders who have attacked and boycotted Disney over the years, hasn't put a dent in the profits yet.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to go inform my wife that our 2 year old will not be allowed to watch Frozen unless his gay uncles are watching it with him. lol

I remember years ago when The Lion King was first out a few religious nut cousins of mine were arguing for the boycott of that movie because in one scene Timon and Pumba mentioned dressing in drag, and then did it as a distraction. They basically flipped out that a children's movie would have such content.

But they were cool with Churnobog?

No idea. But I always though of Fantasia as more of an adult on acid trip, than a childrens movie.

BTW the same cousins now have a 20something year old bisexual daughter, who loves to openly remark on facebook how only another woman can give her an orgasm. So I'm assuming their crusade has pretty much died out at this point.

speaking of Fantasia, here's some Disney history for you....if you care...

Walt's original concept for Fantasia was going to be a film that completely immersed the audience into the experience. keep in mind this was 1940 though, so in order to accomplish his goal it was going to require theaters to hire additional employees who would walk up and down the aisles at the appropriate time, carrying burning incense, spraying water, and other things.

as you can imagine, theater owners were not keen on having burning things in their theater, not to mention soaking down the place with water, then paying more money in labor to top it off, so those effects did not happen. at that point in production though it was too late to not release the film, but it was underwhelming to the audiences and resulted in Disney's first big bust.

now people go to the Disney theme parks and into theaters with shows that immerse the audiences with various aromas and spritzing of water, and people love it enough to go back in time and time again (of course the air conditioning inside the theaters is often a good enough reason in the summer).

just another example of how Walt was often thinking beyond what current technology could do, pushing his imagineers to create cutting edge effects. i often wonder what Walt would do with the current technology - and profits - at his disposal.

i'm also still waiting for the religious nuts to complain about the new Avatarland with "creatures from other planets" being developed at Animal Kingdom. not that any boycott they would do would have an effect, i just don't foresee Avatar being successful in a theme park since the movie doesn't hold much draw these days. my opinion is this will be a big flop and a waste of money. such a shame since there are so many better "Earth" related things they could have done, even in the fantasy genre with dragons, unicorns, and such as was proposed in the original design for the park (which is why there is a dragon in the center of the logo for the park).

Iger didn't use his best judgment when approving Avatarland...but i'm sure he was compensated well for it nonetheless. yet another leader influenced by $$$ instead of taking time to understand his audience. the Finance department often has a negative impact on Disney too, but unfortunately since Finance controls the Board, there is little chance a true visionary who undertands Guests will be in charge again.

I've watched Fantasia on acid

Also saw Apocalypse Now and watched Wizard of Oz while listening to Pink Floyd the Wall on acid

The Devil made me do it, though

I bet they hated bugs bunny and his drag bit.
