Whenever I watch video of this and similar acts, I always hope the physicality ends with the player injuring himself..... even better, being forced onto the DL because of it.
FYI.... I was right behind the Tigers dugout when Kaline broke his thumb slamming a bat inside the dugout, having a bad day at the plate against a then-elite hurler named Sam McDowell. That was the very same day in summer of 1967, where I began having little sympathy for players using violent, physical means of emotion.
