anyone know his status? Is he on that new 6 week IR thingy or is he done for the year? Have to admit i kinda liked that signing and thought that if Houston/Bentley/Florence/Delmas could stay healthy we'd actually progress into a solid secondary. That didnt happen lol...

I know they put him on the new ir but don't know when he his eligible to come off it, 6 weeks from designation I believe.

"Cornerback Drayton Florence said he should be ready to come off short-term injured reserve when he's eligible next month.

Florence, who suffered a broken right forearm in a Week 2 loss to the 49ers, can begin practicing with the Lions on Wednesday but can't play until Nov. 18 against the Packers.

He said he expects to practice Wednesday."

Yeah Florence was playing well the first 2 weeks. Relying on two rookies in Bentley and Green would be bad news or just your 5th and 6th CB in general with Green and Smith. Lacey and his 2 week concussion sucks but we'll need Florence for the Green Bay game. No good passing teams until then.

Plus Lions need to figure out what to do with Greenwood before that. Drop Justin Miller and add Greenwood but hopefully he's not tested missing all of Training camp. Green and Smith would still be ahead of him.
