Reserve defensive tackle Nick Fairley, Detroit's first-round draft pick, likely will also be inactive against the Broncos. He aggravated his surgically repaired left foot against the Falcons and was still wearing a protective boot five days later. The Lions listed him as doubtful after he didn't practice for a third straight day on Friday.

"It is going to be something that he is going to have to manage and we are going to have to manage," Schwartz said.

Why is he starting to remind me of Andre Smith?

2 fat dudes with lingering foot issues ?

Andre is finally playing decent in Cincy , he actually drew praise from the coaching staff this past week.

haha, that must be it.

He might be good around week 13 or so. If not then we'll just have to wait till next season to see him at full strength

now this shit is getting ridiculous.......(i guess it's just too much to ask for a halfway decent mostly injury free fucking season)

The hillarious thing is most of us on here said to sit his ass until he was 100% and to ensure there was no reoccuring injury. Lions training staff does the opposite and POOF....hes back on the shelf. Anyone with half a brain saw that comming.

I'm nt sure what anyone expects. His preseason was non existent. So it was a no brainer that he wasn't going to do much for some time.

I didn't realize players who were 100% ever got injured. Lol. I have an idea, maybe he was fully healed and just injured it again, eh?

It was broken dude...you dont rebreak it or else hed be having surgery again. He aggravated it...which means it wasnt fully healed.

we caught as break when he fell to us... but i guess we may have to wait until 2012 to see nick fairley perform how we want him 2

Wow the '11 Lions "draft" swiftly swirled down the proverbial toilet in a manner that even ex-Lions' GM door-Matt Millen would be challenged to top.

If there is no such thing as being cursed, the NFC Lions franchise is one of the closest to being so, along with their mirror-image in the AFC sad-sack twin Browns. The NFC Vikings also have had more than their fair share, but in otherwise higher level utter fail, Superbowl-wise, like their twin AFC team in the Bills, both going 0-4, Buffalo doing so in 4 consecutive Superbowls.

I wish the Lions drafted Robert Quinn.. I wanted Prince as well, but he is injured also.. Not too many rookies other than QBs and WRs making a huge impact.. DeMarco Murray pending..

Pouncey, Solder, Prince, Castonzo or Jimmy Smith id be ecstatic with right now....I was fine with Hill being a rotational guy. I would think 3 DTs is enough to rotate in and out. If you need more than that then they need a better strength and conditioning coach.

For some reason Smith hasn't gotten on the field much.. I was praying to the gods he would fall to us on the second however. Yeah the Pouncey bros are beasts in general..
