Now that we're at the halfway point and the Lions pulled a win out of their ass to reach 5-3, how do you think they finish?

Remaining Schedule
@ Chicago
@ Pittsburgh
vs Tampa Bay
vs Green Bay
@ Philadelphia
vs Baltimore
vs NY Giants
@ Minnesota

For once, I don't think there's a guaranteed loss on the remaining schedule (barring unforeseen injuries). I definitely don't think they'll win out, and they'll probably lose a couple due to foot shooting. I think they'll have a couple late game losses and a total dud for a 5-3 second half, 10-6 overall.

I really hate playing the guessing game because I am terrified of jinxing this team. But really that entire remaining schedule is favorable. You have to think a depleted Chicago team at chicago is a winnable game. @ Pitt is a game we should win, they are not very good. And at home vs Tampa should be a win they are a team that looks lost. Green Bay is a toss up at home but think that shoud give us the edge. @ Philly depends which Philly team shows up. I think we can shut down their running attack and vick probably wont be healthy so I think that game should be a w. New York and Minni both need to be wins. Those teams are just not good and we have to win against them. Baltimore we are better than and at home looks like a possible w. But I still get nervous buying the hype of this team because we should have beaten cincy and blown out Dallas yesterday but they make to many games close. So realistically they could go 11-5 or 12-4 but 10-6 might be where we end up with some disappointing losses. We could actually win the North and have a home game in the playoffs against a team like Atlanta since I think the first round bye will go to N.O and who ever wins the west. Probably Seattle. This team could really set up a post season run if they start learning how to really win instead of just getting by. The next few should be clear cut victories IMO but I foresee them being close and me being anxious. But I will drink the cool aid!!!

I picked 7 wins to start the year.....schedule is much much easier than I first thought and the unproven oline has proven they are much much better than I previously thought. Bush was the missing piece for this O....he needs to stay healthy. Its easy schedule vs the lions inconsistent play I have to balance here......therefor I think we win half of our remaining games and finish 9-7. hopefully its enough to get into the playoffs and we can see where were at vs quality teams. That being said we can easily win the next 3 games...EASILY....if we play well. and should EASILY win the next 4 of 5 if we play well. Then finish out the season with 2 JV teams. predicting how the lions play is like predicting a flip of a coin at this point....they could finish anywhere from 7 to 12 wins lol.

You're fucking scaring me dude...

I voted 10-6. I'm allowing for losses to Pittsburgh, GB, and Baltimore.

have you watched the games lol? the lions are scarring me. A dallas team was beating us halfway thru the 3rd qtr and had a TOTAL of 117 yards lmao. We had to COMEBACK to beat Cleveland. Weve had 1 sack in 2 games. We play offense great...we play offense shitty. We punt the ball 62 yards...we shank a punt to lose the game. We play great defense to keep us in games.....our defense blows and they give up way too many big plays. Nothing on this team is consistent......how the hell am I supposed to know what happens the rest of the year lol. The only thing I can go off of is the rest of the schedule is easy....but I don't know how well we will play against those shitty teams. :D

I'm just not used to this kinder, gentler hughes. It's bizzaro world...next hoopster will say what the Lions need is a big, strong, slightly slow white quarterback like Mike Stafford.

lol ive always said im a realist! if it looks like we suck ill say we suck. a win is a win and this win could prove to give us a huge momentum shift. The defense was asked to do a lot and we won the game cause they kept us in it when the offense kept giving the ball up the first 3 quarters. The offense did what they did the entire game...just didn't piss the ball away the last quarter and a half. That last drive from Stafford though was special. Shows what we can do as an offense when linehan isn't holding us back with dives up the middle and short route schemes. Dallas' horrible dline allowed us to stretch the field more.

Last drive was a thing of beauty, no? The kid's got it. He showed us in the fucked up shoulder Cleveland win a few years back what he's capable of but never seemed to be consistent with it. That last drive yesterday was all that talent being shown again, including his savvy. If homeboy builds on that and shows it every week we're dangerous...

Stafford played really well all game. I have got to say that he was elite yesterday minus 1 bad throw. There were drops again which is getting old. But that dude was throwing darts!

11-5 with losses vs GB and Baltimore. Fortunately they play both @ Bears and @ Steelers before the weather is likely to be below freezing, If otherwise or inclement conditions exist @ any of their three remaining road games, then all bets are off, IMO.

Home-Dome Lions have a long history of playing poorly outdoors on the road when the weather is poor. I truly believe that the Lions regular season records (as well as having more postseason appearances and wins, maybe even including a SB appearance or two) ever since they moved from Tiger Stadium to the Silverdome in '75 would have been MUCH better overall, if they instead would have had a new facility built whose teams and fans (well...most of them anyway) would have been exposed to the elements each season.

Mike Stafford always cracks me up, lol.

I can't believe I'm going 11 and now that I've said it we will indeed go 8-8.

Fun fact of the day: If the Lions win out (13-3), that'll be their best regular season winning percentage in team history

And guess where the Super Bowl is this year? New York in an outdoor stadium!

I'm thinking 11-5. Easy schedule but you know were about to drop 1 or 2 here or there. Hopefully not but probably. Packers are the big game.

We gotta keep winning, but it looks like our big competition is....the Panthers for the playoffs. I don't think they can hold on, so if we keep doing what we're doing, I think we'll have ther 2nd playoff berth of this Schwartz era.
