After tonight Forbes is shooting .500 from 3 for the season, thats pretty filthy.

Forbes is remarkable in that he can stop and shoot from three running from a dead sprint, and he can do it on the break or coming off from screens. That has to have taken countless hours in the gym to perfect and he's the best in the country at it.

We looked like the NCAA's version of the Golden State Warriors yesterday.

I don't think anyone thought he could be this good when he transferred to MSU, we thought he could be a good player but I never saw him playing this many minutes and not being a huge liability defensively.

Izzo just forces guys to check if they are going to play, he did the same thing with Harris this year. The development and improvement is amazing, even more amazing is Forbes did it in two years where it takes guys like Costello, Valentine, etc, longer

yeah, I don't think anyone could say they called it - that a transfer from Cleveland State would be one of the best shooters in the country and have a solid all-around game. The only thing that gives me caution is the possibility that he goes cold at the wrong time - he more than anyone, including Valentine has been the bellwether for this team this season. That said, he's obviously not the only weapon so as long as it's not against another contender or another player doesn't have a bad night at the same time, the team can still carry him if need be.

Yes, dead sprint stop on a dime and pull up, he gets his shot off quickly.

I will say that he travels coming off the screen almost every time. Still love him though.

yeah, he seems to get away with that a lot. And what's with him touching his shoes and then smelling his fingers? I remember the question being asked by others here - has anyone ever gotten an explanation for that? If they have another deep run in the tournament, it's gonna come up if it hasn't already. He does it all the time and it's pretty conspicuous.
