Germany housing Middle Eastern refugees... at Dachau?

They are really doing this.

I suppose it makes practical sense, and if you're a refugee presumably any place is better than the place you've left... but man-OH-man this creates some awkward PR for the German government.
 
Turning something negative into something positive? I like it. However, Germany better be ready to have actual decent paying jobs and assistance for the ones who can't work. If their new home becomes a rat hole with starving people, it's going to be really, really bad.
 
My ex-stepdad (yes) was stationed in Germany after WWII and the barracks they were assigned were either at Dachau or another former internment camp. He said it was pretty eerie and unsettling to think of what had taken place there.
 
I just want it on record that I though of a joke in pretty terrible taste that I didn't post.
