Go Blue for Zavier Simpson Day

I was thinking that the kids on this team are incredibly likable, and seem to really get along. No jawing or complaining... no sulking when they miss shots.

In the past, when we've had a drop off, part of the reason seems to be attitude & loss of team chemistry.

Like when we lost seniors in '09, Manny Harris wasn't ready to lead the team and it showed.

same with the last time we missed the tourney... as Zak Irvin seemed to have attitude adjustment issues.

I don't see a huge dropoff (ie missing the tourney & even NIT) happening next year, even though we lose a lot of scoring in Robinson, Wagner, and MAAR.

I completely agree. You can tell everyone legitimately gets along and cares about each other. They are all friends and it shows. That is what makes them so lovable.

We may get Moe back next year. He's not projected to be a 1st round pick anywhere, so maybe we get lucky and he comes back to finish out his career.

wow. i didn't even consider that a possibility.

Start of the season, I didn't either. I figured he'd be a late first rounder. Basketball Insiders, which does a solid job, has him going 45th right now. We saw GR3 leave early with the same type of projections, so Moe may still go early.

I think he still needs to work on his shot consistency, quickness of his release, and strength. I don't want to see him riding the bench in the NBA like DJ is with the Bucks. That makes it really hard to improve in the league. Players need game-time minutes to make big improvements at the pro level.

I know it's crazy to think, especially if they somehow win it all this year, but they'll be a legitimate threat in the next 2 seasons with this class coming in.

We are getting a ton of talent next season with the freshmen coming in. Not to mention Livers and Poole should take a nice jump in ability and if Teske keeps gettimg better, we might not have a drop off at all.

Plus, we retain the best defensive PG in the country.
