Good read on ZZ

Zenner has boosted the run game 3 of last 4 weeks. Other game he fumbled so didn't get the carries.

Lions run blocking has improved too. Good to see that.

I like how decisive Zenner is in choosing his path/hole. Because he doesn't dick around he generally hits the hole before it closes up and rarely takes negative yards. I hope we see more of him next year even with a healthy Abdullah.

Zenner can push a pile and find a hole. He doesnt make guys miss. Improved run blocking helped him out. Washington goes rogue too often. Washington has speed but need to be disciplined

Do you think Washington has outside speed? They never seem to use him on sweeps.

He is not elusive. Straight line speed

Doesn't sound very promising. Sounds like the kind of back that needs rather large holes right off the bat. Dallas Cowboy type stuff.

neither one of them are any good. Hence the run game has struggled all year and we lost the last 3 games.

But they ran well in the last two and 3 of last 4. They are 3rd string. Top 2 backs got hurt kind of is bad luck.

Abdullah and Riddick back in 2017 season

Says you. Nothing wrong with Zenner, Washington isn't anybody though. Hard to get a run game going when the coaches insist on constantly switching rbs. Zenner is just warming up IMO. Rb by committee is dog shit, all it does is keep our best rb from hitting his stride

I hear ya but it concerns me. I like Zenner, but if Abdullah and Riddick are healthy next year, where does Zenner fit in? Really....its an honest question. More Zenner equals less of one of those 2 backs. Lets be honest...Zenner has stepped in nicely but you can't take AA and TR off the field much. I also see the Lions addressing the RB situation in the draft or possibly FA. Lions could be in a spot.....

I agree. I don't think we should address RB this year though. If Abdullah goes down again next year, we move on. Saquon Barkley, please

Running the ball effectively for a half of a game doesn't equate to "ran well the last 2 games." Zenner didn't do shit in the 2nd half of either the gb or Dallas game. Some of those holes were so big a "good" back would have broke it open. Meanwhile zenner picks up 8 yards. Yippie.

So Abdullah would have had 300 yards is what you are saying

RB needs to be addressed though. Abdullah is a talent but he's also a liability. Abdullah gets hurt and then Riddick is the feature back? Riddick goes down.....Zenner comes in. It's 2016 all over again. Like I said, I like Zenner but he isn't a game changer. Teams will still defend the pass most of the day because there's no fear of ZZ. I feel they should grab someone in the 3rd, 4th rd.
