GOP presidential candidate Santorum draws 4 to his speech in Iowa town

Looks like Ricky doesn't mind stumping in front of "crowds" that are tinier than perhaps the local town drunk could gather.

"People don't understand. One guy in there said, 'I'll speak for you at the caucus,'" Santorum said. "That's maybe eight votes that you wouldn't otherwise get. Eight votes can make a big difference, as I know."

He might just as well have stood in the middle of a cornfield and pontificated to the cobs, while listening to them grow. (apologies to Bob Seger)

"He spent 2011 building momentum in Iowa by touring all 99 of the state's counties, speaking one on one to voters in sparsely populated stretches of the state"

Santorum ultimately finished as the runner-up to Mittens as the GOP's POTUS candidate in the '12 RNC primaries, but I don't see him doing so well again in '16, especially after angering and alienating many of his fellow Roman Catholic base, when he recently dissed Pope Francis' stand regarding climate change.

I am very disappointed: I was hoping for a pic of him giving a speech with just 4 people standing there listening.

What the hell does Santorum do for income? Does just being a presidential candidate pay a salary?

I can't believe I under-estimated in my completely sarcastic prediction for how many GOP candidates there would ultimately be ..

There are like 15-16 "candidates" at this point, aren't there? LOL at our buckeye friend. I can't tell if he agrees with me and is pissed because I'm a MICHIGAN guy and FUCKING AWESOME or if he disagrees with my statement that Fiorina will make waves, be entertaining and fill that CEO of Public Company role for the GOP crew..

Dole is a career First Wife/Politician and Bachman is the Tea Party Nutjob ...Fiorina may be incompetent as a CEO, but she's got that Female Mitt Romney thing going for her!

Ricky likely has a PAC that he...ahem...uses to fund his campaign. I don't know what it is named, but I believe that even the granny grifter's SarahPAC drew ~800K in contributions last year, and she hasn't run or held office since quitting midway through her AK governorship in '09.

According to Wikipedia. there are now 10 official GOP candidates running for the RNC primary nomination, the latest being former TX governor Rick Perry on June 4th. The most obscure candidate so far is Ben Carson, an MD who has jumped in the mix on May 4th.

There are also about 6 as yet undeclared candidates who are expected to announce their candidacy sooner or later, with Jeb Bush probably being the most anticipated amongst them. Also mayrans are likely to include Scott Walker, Chris Christie, John Kasich, Piyush Jindal and the Donald. Three others who have expressed interest are Bob Erlich, Jim Gilmore, and Peter King.

So there could be as many as 16-19 or more GOP candidates overflowing their Clown Car, so perhaps they might need to lease a short bus soon.

They were sitting around a table, unfortunately
