Starting for the Giants this Sunday.

Only starting because of injuries to two or three LB's in front of him, but still getting the call.

Hope he does well. Wish we had Jones instead of Hogue or Ekejiuba.

wondered what became of Jones, googled his name about a week ago, turns out Coughlin and the Giants are really high on him. can't believe Jones wasn't more highly regarded after what he did in college. i was shocked to see him fall that far, but i fully expect him to take this job and run with it. Giants got themselves a couple of the more obvious diamonds in the ruff with Jones and Herzlich.

That just shows you the injury situation and lack of depth for the giants.. Poor bastards.. If Gerg was on this team he would be behind Carpenter and Palmer on the bench.. The 6th linebacker.

Was listening to Sirius today and Bulluck was one of the hosts, Gman fans kept calling and asking if his agent had been busy lately. I felt kinda bad for them.

They have lost a lot of defensive players already and with Eli at QB they need a strong defense. I dont even think Jones would make this team.

The best player the state of Michigan has ever seen. I retract my previous statement. If we would have drafted him. Not only would he have made the roster. But he would be starting over Tulloch/Levy/Durant and probably make the Probowl.

Greg Jones - LB - Giants Rookie Greg Jones is expected to remain the Giants' starting middle linebacker going forward.
Jones managed four tackles in Week 1, leaving the field on passing downs and playing just over 50 percent of the snaps. The Giants were pleased with Jones' run defense, however, and Pro Football Focus gave him a top-15 run-stopping inside linebacker grade in the opener. Jones' role figures to grow so long as his performance doesn't tail off. He's about an LB4 in IDP leagues. Source: Newark Star-Ledger

Danny Diggler[/color]]Gerg Jones is legend

Nobody here said Jones was a Pro Bowler....just that he was getting a start.

Saying he wouldn't have made the Lions shows your complete lack of football knowledge.

Reacting like a teenage girl makes you an idiot.

Where did I say he wouldn't make the Lions? Failure of reading comprehension makes you an idiot.

yes clearly greg jones woulda made the team...for god sakes hogue did../end sarcasm...i believe we drafted hogue over jones

do you really want to continue with that dumbass statement? look at the quarterbacks that were taken over tom brady...

once you get out of the 2nd-3rd round, it's really just a crapshoot.

Looked good on that goal line stand run play. Only watching this game because it's a chance to see Jones play.

Still wish he was a Lion instead of Hogue.
