From the "well, that's not surprising" part of the article: one of the gun nuts here stirring things up in Royal Oak is named Nixon, he's unemployed, and he moved to MI from Floriduh.
""I hear this a lot ? 'You're scaring people.' But I firmly believe, you can't put your rights in a glass case" such as those used to display firearms, he said."
It's funny - or at least it would be if there weren't serious public safety issues at stake - when these complete buffoons try to get all lawyerly and philosophical. They make absolutely no sense.

more stupidity later in the article:
Banning guns in schools would not eliminate the risk of future school shootings, said Scott Webb, 36, of Marysville, a former board member of the Michigan Open Carry group.
No, but at least you eliminate the risk of these dipshits accidentally shooting some kid.

Bro, Obummer's comin' fer are guns! Are rights won't be denied! We gotta show that muslin HUSSEIN that we won't lay down while he gay marries us!

I loved reading the comments for this article, some idiot must have commented "a bearded man with a Koran is way more of a threat than a random guy at a school with multiple weapons" at least 5 times.

the way they conflate their own propaganda with reality is really something to behold.

I saw a comment questioning how we could let someone walk into a school with a Koran, but not a gun... as if the two objects really are equally a threat to life and limb, not just in some rhetorical sense.
