He also comments on the bad season and about how many fans want them to lose now to preserve a higher draft pick. Not I Jason, I never want the Lions to lose, not even during the 0-16 did I want them to lose. I don't care what it does to the draft order going 0-6 in the div this year is unacceptable.

I love Hanson and appreciate all he has done but his price tag may be too high with the Lions cap issues. Draft a cheap rookie kicker in Round 6 or 7 who can boom it out of the endzone. Hanson can make FGs with the best of them but you can find another kicker with a better leg who hopefully is just as clutch. Look at Blair Walsh this year for the Vikings. He made 9 50 yarders I think.

good kicker...20yrs+.....I cant recall a pressure kick in his entire career that he made..
I recall him missing the one this year in OT against Houston. I remember him running out at the end of the game against NO years ago, drilling a FG that moved us down several spots in the draft....but he was pretty consistant

Exactly, that's how big a deal it is to hit 50 yarders anymore.

In the '70's and 80's that record gets a LOT of pub....now, it's common place.
