I love Hanson and appreciate all he has done but his price tag may be too high with the Lions cap issues. Draft a cheap rookie kicker in Round 6 or 7 who can boom it out of the endzone. Hanson can make FGs with the best of them but you can find another kicker with a better leg who hopefully is just as clutch. Look at Blair Walsh this year for the Vikings. He made 9 50 yarders I think.

If he leaves i hope he ends up with a super bowl champion. He deserves it for everything he's been through with detroit.

good kicker...20yrs+.....I cant recall a pressure kick in his entire career that he made..
I recall him missing the one this year in OT against Houston. I remember him running out at the end of the game against NO years ago, drilling a FG that moved us down several spots in the draft....but he was pretty consistant

50 yard field goals are like 250 yard passing days.....there are one or two every game. It's not a big deal anymore.

Just like longtime (12 years) Lions K Eddie Murray did with Dallas two years after leaving Detroit.
