I rarely like to post about politics but....

this is coming from a party which has championed efficient use of money/resources for a while now. Yet they are mounting an attack on the health care bill not to get it overturned but to draw a debate into the public in before an election.

So they basically just admitted to wasting everybody's time and wasting the money they are being paid and will use up mounting this attack to promote their own political party.

Wow. I rarely get infuriated/surprised by anything that happens in our government anymore, but this sent my blood boiling.

what should infuriate you is the law itself...and how it was actually passed

That's cool, elect people who will vote it out if you don't want it. And tell them not to use congress as a political marketing tool while you're at it.

listen to yourself.....dont use congress as a political marketing tool??? LOL, that's politics my friend

Dont have the president use taxpayers money in his trips to battleground states and call it some sort of a policy trip

That's fine, I agree with that. Frankly I'm just surprised with how open they are about wasting everyone's time and money. I don't think I've ever seen that before where people openly admitted to burning up the taxpayers money like that. At least they are being honest. I suppose that's something.

what money are they burning up???

Well congress does get paid to do a job. If they now have a job to do that is completely fruitless and only serves to consume time, the money they are paid to do this fruitless job is also wasted. Not only is it wasted but in reality it is reallocated to the alternative agenda of the activities they are being paid to do. Not to mention not only does congress get paid, but their employees are paid to waste time on the same matters. Instead of actual efforts to get anything passed we are spending money running a political campaign.

they didnt waste a dime. They represent the majority of people in the country to eliminate this law.

So are you saying that even if they spend a whole lot of time to do something they know will fail it is not wasteful? That's their job is it?

They(house) have 290 bills sitting in the senate. Harry Reid has yet to act on them. 15 job bills. Why dont you take your anger to the senate side and the job they have done(havent done). Not to mention over 3 years without a budget. Take the lib glasses off, if your really pissed about government

As opposed to what? Conservative glasses? Why is one worse than the other? Can you even tell me?

Congress does pointless stuff all day every day. That said, this is really the first time I've heard anyone claim to want to waste time. I also find it interesting that an obvious member of a party supporting fiscal conservative policies is trying (excessively) to justify said party from doing something that is quite contrary to their own 'views'.

its obvious, you're worrying about one little vote, yet what is going on in the senate is a disservice to the country and you seem not to care at all?

Who said I don't care? Again you put words in my mouth. I care about political campaigns being run from congress. I do care about wasteful activities especially when flagrantly done as they are here.

Your first post on the political forum, so upset about this???? LOL, c'mon.

again, this vote dosen't cost us one extra penny(Obamacare's trillion dollar deficit aside), so dont fret it

Who said I'm upset? You're making a lot of inferences here. Doing anything on capital hill costs money. It only makes sense that people would want it to be done efficiently. The health care plan is an issue of policy. Of course it costs money, it was designed to do just that while offering at least an alleged benefit. Congressional activities are supposed to benefit the public in a very specific way for the money we pay them, that is not being done in this case.

tsmith is just trolling you into getting upset, it's his thing here.

Obama in Iowa yesterday costs 25 times more than congressman in one day.......an anger there?
Obamacare is a trillion dollars over budget(and climbing), that isnt what was presented.

trolling? lol, just trying to get the boy to have some sort of an intelligent conversation, after all, is his first post here and he goes down in flames
