How amazing would it be if in week 17 the division title was on the line? or maybe even a first round bye?

It likely would mean that in the very, very least that the Packers A. Rodgers was injured and/or suffered a concussion vs the Lions again on TGD, or perhaps by another team. It would also mean that either the Lions went minimum 5-2 for their remaining 7 games beforehand, and/or the other NFC divisions teams running-up below their division leaders were playing @.500 or thereabouts. That scenario @ Week 17 would be very probable in the NFCW, possible in the NFCE, and very unlikely in the NFCS.

week #17 is going to be all about playoff positioning...Lions will clinch the Wildcard in week #16 and be trying for the #5 seed.

So this is where we come to talk about wet dreams??? Detroit clinches home field and first round bye week 16! BAM!!! I would love to have a wildcard slot clinched by week 16 though. Still a ways to go but I think the wildcard race will depend on week 17 and go right down to the wire. GB will be resting their starters since they do not care about the Dolphins record and we will win allowing us our playoff birth!

doubt McCarthy would ever lay down , especially to a hated division rival.

I am not so sure that they would not want to give there starters some extra rest. Besides, Detroit has knocked Rodgers out before!

If Aaron Rodgers keeps up his current play, week 17 isn't going to matter for positioning at all - not for Green Bay at least.

Never thought of detroit and green bay as hated rivals lol

Never thought of it? Good for you....

Teams that play in the same division SHOULD always despise each other. Hell, when you go a Lions/Bears matchup, the fights within the crowds are astronomical. Trust me, i've been in a few of them.
