a guy just asked and I thought they said like 3 years.
 
Yep, I like trading for young guys. Especially if they're good :)
 
According to cots, he is eligible for arbitration after the 2012 season and under club control through 2015

Yeah, Tigers are pretty well of with their rotation.

Verlander, Fister, Scherzer, Porcello, and throw in Turner and Smyly who are close.

I wouldn't be surprised to see DD trade one for a position player (2B?) this offseason.

But with how the team is set up, they should be able to dominate the division the next few seasons.
