How the Mueller Investigation Could Play Out for Trump

he?s about national security

Doesn't he want to sell sensitive nuclear tech to the Saudis without completing the checks we'd go through normally as a matter of national security?

I agree on that he does tend to go over the dick line his pow comments were over the line no doubt. still had to weigh it all up, globalist chicom plan or America first was and still is a no brainer for me, if there is a non asshole version of trump to support I?d support until then I hope the AOC lead left melts down now and drives away the old school dems and center for 2020

I'm in exactly the opposite spot. If there was a Trump-level asshole that didn't want to gut EPA regulations - they'd get my vote.

You know that ?never trump? was a Republican thing, don?t you? Obviously Democrats are going to be never any Republican.

I am not a Republican, but if the race hadn?t been locked up by the time the primary got to California, I would have registered as a Republican and voted for whatever other Republican still had a chance. I would have been never trump.

I was a pro-Kasich never-Trumper in our primary. Maybe. I don't remember if I was taking Trump seriously enough to be a never Trumper at the time.

I did like Kascih for a time, before he revealed he was on board with globalization that was disappointing

I don?t exactly know what you mean when you use the term ?globalization,? it?s a pretty broad term.

Trump himself is a globalist, with business interests around the world.

Supporting crap trade deals and wanting even more of them for starters, Trump pulling out of TPP was a good thing! Kasich was on board with all that continued selling out, nice guy but that wasn’t going to work. Now moving forward Andrew wang is correct about AI and his main issue should be part of the national debate in 2020 I’ll be curious to hear what trumps position on it will be

Are UFOs Time Machines From The Future?

I beleive that is a possibility

Which ones? I've never heard a UFO story that sounded like a reasonable place and time for someone to want to use that technology to go to.

...unless they prevented catastrophes that we obviously don't know about because they prevented them...

OH SHIT!!!

Totally plausible!!

Did Trump offer the VP spot to Kasich? Thought I read he turned it down at some point.

Ya never know!

Nadler already calling for Barr to testify and announcing plans to continue thier own investigations

Perfect!

Did Trump offer the VP spot to Kasich? Thought I read he turned it down at some point.

Word got out that he had done so through channels-the report I think it was his oldest son-but Kasich indicated he wouldn?t accept it and Trump ended up denying that he actually extended the offer, and technically I guess he didn?t.

The word is that Kasich asked what his role would be, and the answer was that he would run the domestic and foreign affairs of the country-ostensibly acting as the president and Kasich asked what Trump?s role would be and the answer was ?to make America great again.?

Is that “fat Jerry” Nadler?

Back to trade deals, they seem pretty complex to me, and it seems to me that a person who doesn’t do some kind of business that involves having to understand trade deals would really understand them very well.

I never had a job where I had to understand anything about international trade.

That rings a bell, but it doesn't seem like that's the deal Pence got.

That’s because Pence is a poor man’s Kasich.

EDIT: Here is an article on the offer to Kasich.

True to my form, I remembered it virtually exactly as it was reported.

Maybe he wouldn't offer the same deal. That's one possibility. Another is that you shouldn't expect Trump to stick to unwritten agreements.

Either way. Good remembered summary on your part.

Did you see that I added a link to the story about the offer to Kasich since you quoted that post?

There is no never Trump crowd anymore-never Trump is over.

How can there be a never Trump crowd when there?s no Republican to vote for against Trump?

That one former governor of Massachusetts announced an exploratory committee or something but that?s not going to go anywhere.

Trump is going to run unopposed as the majority of incumbant presidents seeking a second term have done in recent times.

Not the case. Never Trump is badly damaged, obviously, but it?s still out there. Don?t believe me? Read anything Bill Kristol, Jonah Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace, Michael Steele, Steve Schmidt, Max Boot and others I could site have to write or say. Being never Trump in this context has nothing to do with the nomination. Nobody can challenge Trump on the Republican side. That?s clear. The question is whether never Trumpers will reconsider their 2016 general election decision on the do-over.

Don?t know about that, to be honest. But it?s going to be a long slog if you intend to seriously argue that national security is not one of Trump?s drivers.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Conservatives being critical of Trump-I assume that’s what you’re talking about with regard to all those pundits that you mentioned-are not the same thing as a never Trumper.

Never trump was about the 2016 Republican primaries. That’s it.

When Trump was nominated, never Trump was over.

Do any of those pundits that you mentioned believe that Trump is not going to be nominated or that he will even be challenged for the 2020 nomination?

EDIT: OK I just came across an article by Bill Kristol from last year.

So if never Trump is still a thing, it’s a thing like a flat earth is still a thing.
