The Tigers pitching so far has been, well good so far. I know that it is Spring Training games. But really holding teams to 1 run is something. Too bad they can not take this many pitchers north when the season starts.
But the real question is who will be that 5th starter? Right now most of the starters have been in a game or two. IMO Oliver won round one ,Below and Turner have had two games now. Right now I got to go with Below ahead, should he be kept in the mix. Turner needs to get the walks under control.
Now for the the front 4 ;1 Fister with two good outings, 2 Verlander and Porcello whip there,.50 WHIP gets ahead of Scherzer for now.
Really thoe Tigers pitching has been putting good numbers together. Really I am beginning to think a real 5th starter will be found out this group now! BTW I know one would be found but now I'm a thinking better than average will come north now.

I still wish we would have gotten a vet for the fifth spot. Now really stoked for Below, Oliver, Turner etc.

8 runs in 6 games is crazy. I've thought all along that we will have a mixed bag all year long as the 5th starter. Guys will just take turns. We just have to hope we don't get an injury to one of the other 4 starters.

JL has to be stoked at the job Jones is doing in Spring. He really is getting these guys prepared. I also see him and Rojas working with the young guys big time. I did not see that last spring, they were all kind of on their own. There was another guy but he did not have a name on his jersey, I think it was Kenny Rogers but could not tell. I did not see any print of him being there and I did not have binoculars.

Kenny Rogers is there.

They said he wouldn't pitch until June I didn't realize he was injured.

"Oswalt released a statement saying he did not want to sign with a team until after the month of June when his kids are out of school for the year.

I think he is trying to pull a "Roger Clemens".

I can hear Suzyn Waldman's voice now, "Oh my GOD! Roy Oswalt is in the bawses bawx! Roy Oswalt is going to be a Yankee!".

I hate listening to her. I don't mind John Sterling, except his HR call.
