Dug out my baseball cards.
Through 1987, Morris' career ERA was 3.55
From 1977-1987: Sub-3 ERA: 0x, Sub 3.50 ERA: 6x Sub 4 ERA: 8x (Including 7 games in 1977). 4+ ERA: 3x (Including 1978 when he started 7x and relieved 21x).
From 1988-1994: Sub 3 ERA: 0x, Sub 3.50 ERA: 1x (1991) Sub 4 ERA: 2x (1988, 1991), 4+ ERA: 5x, 5+ ERA: 2x, 6+ ERA: 1994
After 1992, his career ERA stood at 3.73
1993 (6.19 in 27 starts (152.2 IP) and 1994 (5.60 ERA in 23 starts (141.1 IP) Ballooned it to 3.90
Seems that Morris may be the player that suffered the most from the steroid era...or he was like Don Mattingly or Dale Murphy
