June Jones Debacle

I heard about this a couple days ago. So, Jones is signing papers and negotiating his deal with Arizona State, chatting and bullshitting and then BAM!! " Um, Coach Jones, we're sorry, but we no longer think you would be a good hire. We are so very sorry. We hope you have a fine career at SMU."

So now everyone at SMU knows he snuck away in the dead of night, never to return. The athletic director said he will still be coach through the 2012 season. Unbelievable

I think Jones null and voided his contract. I could be wrong.

This is why we should all be thankful we have Coach Hoke. I have no doubts in my mind that he'll be a Wolverine until we kick him out or he retires or dies.

i heard the university pulled the offer cause of the backlash around campus....either way its ridiculous.

I think it's funny, cuz I read another article that Jones said he wasn't there, so he couldn't say what happened. Sorry coach, but if you're be hired for a job, you are going to there to make sure there are no mistakes. And by being "there", it sounded like Jones was saying he wasn't even in Arizona during negotiations. He's doing some serious spin right now. If I was a recruit, I say, "sorry pal."
