Impending free agent SS LaRon Landry is expected to have to settle for a short-term, "prove-it" deal on the open market.
Landry is recovering from Achilles' surgery and also landed on injured reserve in mid-December with a groin ailment. At age 27, he's a dominant strong safety when healthy but rarely has been 100 percent over the past two seasons. The Skins seem unlikely to consider slapping Landry with the franchise tag.

Mayhew dished out a couple one-year prove it deals this year (Wright, Tulloch). Think Landry will take one here as well? Could be an option

I'd take a chance on him at the right price....he certainly couldn't be worse than Harris and Spievey.

They better. Cant plug every hole up through the draft

said it a month ago....landry and ladarius webb for me would solidify our secondary. Finnegan might be Schwartz's house call this year though depending on his relationship with him when he was at Ten. My order would be webb, grimes than finnegan if i had the choice at cb.

Having seen a lot of skins games Landry has a ton of potential but hasnt lived up to it. Great speed and size but not great instinct. But think he would definitely be an upgrade over what we have. Him and delmas could be above average.

Thanks but no thanks, this team has already had enough problems with injury prone players. If he's willing to come for the minimum or right around there then fine but anything more than that isn't worth it.

Guys get injuries. We've had our share, Staff not playing much in two years but it doesn't mean they will keep on getting injured. I wonldnt mind him.
