Agree, and I just have to laugh at all the fantasy footballers who picked him as their #1 RB this year. LOL ha ha

I’ve got no problem with him trying to get his money while he can. But this one is a weird case. I’m betting he’ll show up Saturday so he still gets paid this game and doesn’t have to play. I can’t imagine he’s willing to give that 8 million up when there’s no guarantee he’ll make it up on his next contract. Especially when GM’s would probably hold it against him for quitting on his teammates for up to 10 games.

Players hate the tag but they know it's there learn to live it. Quit asking for so much and maybe they won't tag you.

I have no problem with his hold out either. In football, your career is so short and almost NONE of the money is guaranteed unless you're a star. The toll playing takes on your body is FAR greater than any other major sport. Get your money.

That said, I think he's hurting his "brand" more than he's helping his future earning potential with this hold out.

Negotiate shorter rookie contracts and eliminate the "double tag" rule for the players in the next CBA, take your $14.5M and get on the field!!!

he can get his money...$14.5M guaranteed.

The double tag is an odd rule but on the other hand, they are guaranteed an average of the top 5 at their position.

I don't have a problem with him holding out. He see's the type of contracts being handed out to everyone. With the amount of touches he has in a year, risking it for 14 million guaranteed is risky

Most likely he wouldn't get majorly injured, but there is always the chance.
Being healthy next year is the way to the biggest pay day.

I support him, because I'm also okay with teams cutting players that aren't performing.

I don't have a problem with him holding out either...I just think it's a dumb move. RB's don't get the kind of money that QBs or elite defensive players get.

If he wants a long term deal, ask for a bit less. I never understood why everyone has to one up everyone else. It's okay to be the 2nd or 3rd highest paid at your position. I hope more teams don't give in on these contracts players want.. In 3+ years he's 30, the proverbial "I suck" age.

I wonder if Bell shows up next week.

Conner through 3 quarters of play

11 rushes, 90 yards and 2 TDs
3 catches for 32

Looks like James Conner will fill in just fine for Bell. There are very few RB's in the game today that teams can't win without. Take the money or someone else takes the spot. That's how it works.

The over steeelrs and under rated brows play to a 21-21 tie, conners numbers where great, steelers run game is just as much to do with thier 0 line than anything else

I know I watched part of it but that's still bad QB'ng. Which is why I don't blame those kickers too much. 14 for 40, ouch.

a little deceiving. Sure, he was 15/40 for only 197 yards. But he also ran 8 times for 77 yards and a TD. Terrible completion percentage but not too bad of a day given the circumstances.

People were running all over the field but 14 for 40 is still under par even in a monsoon. Maybe not as laughable as first thought but that's when you go short routes.. I still thought it a bad day. Probably should have ran more.
